Surreal Holistic Therapy

My name is Jenny, a qualified and licensed Body Work Therapist, with over 8 years experience  and the founder of Surreal Holistic Therapy. I chose the name " Surreal " because it means total relaxation and dream-like state. I like to think the treatments I offer apart from Sports and Deep Tissue therapy allows this to happen! 

 

I enjoy what I do because the first point of contact extends so much further than just the physical wellness, it can also stimulate the mind & soul, I get to help people feel better physically, emotionally, and spiritually. There are very few jobs out there that allow you to do this, and massage therapy is one of them. People come to me from all walks of life with different types of issues. Some people have been extremely stressed with work, family life, or are recovering from surgery. Whatever it is, I get to help them through it and put them on the path to a successful recovery. Healing through alternative therapies isn't a quick fix, but if followed consistently and in conjunction with a good healthy diet and exercise program, you'll experience long-lasting results.

 

On my travels to Africa and Far East Asia, I was amazed at how many people, including families  the young and old, would book in for a massage instead of visiting their General Practitioners. I was so impressed, that through extensive research, I enrolled on an Aromatherapy Balinese massage diploma course at Bali Bisa the International Spa Academy in Bali( Indonesia) which was truly amazing as I learned more about ancient massage rituals, the transference of energy  and physical techniques. 

 

My training in the UK, only studies anatomy/physiology , whereas eastern training incorporates anatomy,physiology and energy (Chi) hence why I focus on those three areas during  treatments. I also hold a level 5 diploma in  Health and Nutrition, which has been instrumental to further my knowledge and understanding of the link  between diet and disease! . I don't offer nutritional advice , but I do include freshly made, nutritional and vitamin rich smoothies  in my Relax & Refresh spa packages -  see Relax& Refresh  and my  Level 3 -Adult Education and Training , qualification, enables me to facilitate health and wellbeing work shops, so  keeps your eyes  peeled for workshops  on my facebook business page Surreal Holistic Therapy
